Do wipes kill germs as well as gel?

Yes, and they do something gel cannot: the cloth removes dirt, sticky residue and grease while the alcohol formula kills 99.99% of germs.

Are they safe for a child's face?

The wipes are formulated for hands; most parents use them on faces too, avoiding the eyes. The Cottony Soft wipes are the gentlest in the line.
